"No, do you watch soap operas?" he asked - I do NOT have time for soaps. Maybe when I retire :) The guy went on to tell me that I look like a character named 'Carly' on General Hospital. I was instantly sure that she must be the token special needs character on the soap... lol... I looked her up when I got hope, and I was pleased at the compliment:

The actress's name is Laura Wright - MAN she has great hair! I'm on a "grow-out-quit-fucking-with-my-hair" phase, in anticipation for the EXCELLENT HAIRDRESSERS in England! This is a good goal picture... I would take a picture of myself this morning if I didn't have to wait for the husband to wake up to take a shower, and I'm currently pretty gross... He didn't get home from flying til almost 4 a.m. so he'll be sleeping for a while.
I've been casually browsing houses in the Newmarket area online, and what did I find??

It's the house we lived in the last lime we lived in the UK!!!! We lived here for all 4 years, and when we left, our landlord sold the house... I have no clue what it's been through in the past 7 years, but I got all crazy-nostalgic when I saw it! The kitchen has been remodeled, and there's new carpet, and I am clueless as to what has happened to the fireplace - looks a little dangerous, no?
I went and asked the boys if they'd like to live in the same house again, and they both said NO. BOOOOOOOOOoooooO. The one major drawback of the house is that there is only one bathroom, but it was never really a huge problem because the toilet is seperate from the sink/bath/shower, so if someone was using the shower, you could still use the toilet. The boys' bedrooms were pretty small, too, but I think they are going to get a serious reality dose when they see that MOST bedrooms in the UK are tiny. Our 2000 square foot house here in the USA may not seem very large, but we will most likely be living in 1000 to 1200 square feet in the UK... But it's not like they need a 'play area' in their rooms - as long as there is room for a bed and their computers, they will be A-OK!!
The rent on our old house is 800 pounds (about $1300), and with Shane's promotions, we now get 1250 pounds for rent (about $2050) - so hopefully we can find a great place. It will be kind of difficult, because we'll be house-hunting in November and December - I'm really glad our boys are older, because this Christmas is going to be really jacked up! Stone, Tully and I will be arriving in England the week before Christmas, but really, I think that is a gift in itself!! Plus they're at the age where all they want is cash for Christmas...
The husband is now up, so it's time for a shower :)
